Berlinage #4 will take place from the 20 until the 30 of may 2027 at GlogauAir art space in Berlin Kreuzberg. https://glogauair.net/apply/project-space
We have a 150 square meter studio where every participant has his/her own working table and approx. 4 square meter of wall space for the exhibition.

The studio is available from 10 am until 10 pm every day. Each day is divided into scheduled group activities (guided tours, workshops, gallery visits) and plenty of free time, which you can spend either in the studio or exploring Berlin on your own.

The cost for the residency and the participation in the group show is 480 Euro and the donation of one work for the Berlinage Collection.

Cost includes:
– Use of the studio up to 10 hours a day
– Use of the A3 printer
– Collage materials (magazines, different sorts of glue, acrylic paint)
– a selection of Berlin books and maps – some to cut up, some to copy from

– group activities such as guided tours and workshops

– participation in the group show

– Preparation and and advertising of the group show

– inclusion in the Berlinage artist directory and collection

That does not include: Cost of travel and accommodation

The residency has a theme (coming soon) that is set in advance, so that you have the opportunity to think about it beforehand and – if you wish – to prepare some work to bring with you to Berlin. (The idea behind this is that you’ll have enough time in Berlin to explore the city without the pressure of having to produce works for the exhibition).

There will also be at least two online meetings where we can get to know one another and exchange ideas before the residency.

There will be a series of workshops that explore themes, techinques, approaches, working methods of collage. The workshops are open to all participants, to resident artists at GlogauAir and to the public. I would be delighted if you felt like sharing an aspect of your work or a specific topic with everyone in a workshop.

If you have questions and/ or would like to apply for the residency please write a mail with information about yourself and your art to: mail@bettinahomann.de.
