Co-creating the city
Berlinage #3 is dedicated to the topic of co-creating the city.
Where is your place in this structure? How do you relate? What do you contribute? How do we create together? The city is a shared experience permanently moving like a dance. A dance that is sometimes harmonious and sometimes involves a painful kick to the foot.
In a time when it seems increasingly difficult for us humans to inhabit this world together without fighting, Berlinage #3 is about celebrating the collage community. It is about coming together and sharing – sharing techniques, working methods, ideas (and of course a drink or two).
Procedure/ Structure
Part 1 – February-may 2026: In the months/weeks before we gather in Berlin, each artist creates one or more works on the theme “Me and the City,” and we meet occasionally via Zoom.
Part 2 – 6.-12.5. 2026: Here in Berlin we will devote ourselves to working together for one week from 6-12.5. and prepare the group show.
Part 3 – 13.-17.5. 2026: The exhibition is accompanied by a program of workshops and talks.
The venue
The residency will take place in the beautiful GlogauAir artspace www.glogauair.net in the lively neighborhood of Kreuzberg. On 160 square meter (1720 square feet) in three connected room with a big kitchen and a garden in the back we have lots of space to work, experiment, cook and drink together and create an interesting exhibition.
